My name is Christos Tombras.
I came to the U.K. from Greece to train and work as a psychoanalyst.
I am a member of The Centre for Freudian Analysis and Research (CFAR) and the College of Psychoanalysts - UK (CP-UK). My work abides by their strict
codes of ethics.
Through CFAR I am registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP); I also hold the Graduate Basis for Registration with the British Psychological Society (BPS).
My theoretical orientation is Lacanian.
My
private practice is based in West Hampstead, North West London (NW6), near Kilburn, Cricklewood, Hampstead, Golders Green, Willesden Green and Swiss Cottage.
I am also working as an associate psychotherapist with the London Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (LACAP), near Liverpool Street (E1).
I work in English and Greek.
I have experience working with psychosexual and relationship problems, eating disorders, OCD, phobias and problems of low self-confidence and depression.
Apart from my years in private practice, I have also worked as psychotherapist in the department of Liaison Psychiatry, at the Adamson Centre for Mental Health, Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital, London.
In addition to my clinical work, I have, for several years, managed a Supported Living Scheme for people with mental health issues in North London.
