Well, these questions are rather reasonable. After all, isn't it the case that psychoanalysts are supposed to be listening? They are not supposed to be talking, let alone bloging...
I had such questions myself. But then the answer came to me, an answer, which was not so unexpected, and not so unreasonable either.
Being a psychoanalyst, I realized, is not a condition, it is a role. This role requires one to conduct him/herself in a particular, let's call it strange, way. But after the session is over, the psychoanalyst returns to what he or she always was, a simple normal human being --a thinking being, one would hope, an active part of his or her world.
This, then, would be the main point of this blog. To debate some thoughts about what is happening in the world, especially in the world of the so-called psy professions.
Because there is a lot happening in this country and some of the issues are really urgent.
But we should not rush. Let's proceed slowly. We shall tackle those issues at our own pace, one by one. After all, this blog has just begun, and this is its first post. There will be more to come.
Your comments and contributions will be very welcome. They will be part of the general debate; they will help us clarify and understand matters better.
I am looking forward to receiving them.
Thank you.
